Yeabsira Solomon Bekele was born in Nazareth, Ethiopia on June 11, 1997 to Mr. Solomon Bekele and Mrs. Bruktayite Hailu. He attended elementary school in Nazareth. In 2007, Yeabsira relocated to Canada with his parents and his younger brother, Nati Solomon, settling in Edmonton, Alberta. Yeabsira completed high school in 2016 with distinction. Turning down many worldly higher education options, he answered God’s call by enrolling at Victory Asia Bible College in Thailand.
The Ultimate Sacrifice
In his short life, Yeabsira has travelled to The Philippines, Malaysia, Korea, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Ethiopia, and other countries to share the word of God and a message of empowerment. In March 2018, Yeabsira travelled to India with his five classmates to do the Lord’s work. While on service in India, Yeabsira’s best friend accidentally came in contact with a high-voltage electric line. While attempting to wring his friend free from the electric line, Yeabsira was fatally electrocuted on March 30,2018.
